South Reno residents will get a new option for emergency medical care with the groundbreaking of the new ER at Damonte Ranch project.
Northern Nevada Health Systems held a groundbreaking event on Thursday morning for the new freestanding emergency room on Steamboat Parkway right next to the Safeway supermarket at Damonte Ranch Town Center.
Alan Olive, chief executive officer of Northern Nevada Sierra Medical Center, called the new ER facility an important need for an area that has seen tremendous growth in the last decade.
